Fell & Trail Training Weekends
Nicky Spinks Fell & Trail Coaching with Ben Mounsey
30 November to 2 December 2018
A full weekend of running, coaching sessions lead by record breaking fell runner Nicky Spinks, Record breaking Fell runner and UKA Coach, and Ben Mounsey, (UK Inter-Counties Fell Running Champion 2016) on Saturday. Sunday you will get chance to practice your new skills on a guided run. A talk from a coach/physio/nutritionist (topic to be confirmed)
Experts on hand to offer advice and performance nutrition products from Mountain Fuel to sample. Guided fell/trail runs, optional guided night/head torch run, coaches on hand to give help and advice.
Accommodation in the YHA kettlewell, breakfast, lunch and evening meals included.
This weekend is suitable for anyone who would like to improve their running on fell or trail. If you are a beginner on the fells/trail please see our other events which may be more suitable or get in touch for advice on choosing the right course for you.
You will need- running clothes for 2 days (there may be 3-5 different sessions over the weekend) waterproof layers, fell/trail running shoes, an extra long sleeved layer. A bumbag/running backpack, water bottle/bladder pack. Head torch if taking part in the night run.
Casual clothing for free time (Pub?)
The Hostel is in the Yorkshire Dales village of Kettlewell, with a local shop and three pubs. All of the running sessions will be in and around Kettlewell with the longer distance runners covering more of the Wharfedale area.
A transfer service from Skipton train/bus station will be available at a small charge for anyone travelling by public transport.
