Burnsall 12k trail race is a new addition to the Due North Trail series. The Burnsall half marathon is in its 5th year and due to its success and popularity we have decided to open up a 10k route. The 12k route is the first 10k of the half marathon, with a diversion from Appletreeweick to bring you back to the finish line at Burnsall. The route is actually closer to 11k but as most trail race courses, it is not about the accuracy of a measured course, but the joy of running in such stunning countryside which makes the race so special.
NB. Age restrictions of 17+ for all trail races.
Race Venue – Start/Finish:
Riverside Car park field in Burnsall Village.
With the Red Lion Pub in front of you, go over the Bridge on the right and the car park field is immediately on the right. Due North Marshalls will be here to organise parking and direct you to the registration tent.
Included:
- Fully way marked course
drinks station with water, juice, fruit and sweets - a post race food
- Bottle of beer
- Due North merchandise

A toilet block with Male & Female toilets is at the top of the car park as well as another toilet block in the smaller car park at the other side of the bridge.
Spectators:
Spectators can spend the day here in the beautiful riverside setting with catering onsite or take your own picnic. Other good viewing points are Appletreewick where the runners will pass by the two village pubs. Walkers along the Dales Way footpath towards Howgill. We ask that spectators do not drive along the narrow country roads or park along the roads. This does cause disruption to locals and is an added safety risk to the event.
