The first race in the Due North Race Series is set at the beautiful riverside location of Burnsall. Taking in several sections of the Dales Way footpath with around 500m of ascent. Climbs rewarded with 360 degree views of the Yorkshire Dales. Riverside paths, stone tracks and open fields provide a great mix of terrain suitable for those new to trail running but also plenty of challenges and interest for the more experienced trail runner. A perfect introduction to the Due North Race series.
NB. Age restrictions of 17+ for all trail races.
Race Venue – Start/Finish:
Riverside Car park field in Burnsall Village.
With the Red Lion Pub in front of you, go over the Bridge on the right and the car park field is immediately on the right. Due North Marshalls will be here to organise parking and direct you to the registration tent. Further parking is also available in a small car park near the village green as well as roadside parking.
Included:
- Fully way marked course

Registration:
Runners will need to register at the tent in the car park by 9.40 to collect your race number.
Race Start:
The race will start at 10am from the same car park & registration field.
During Covid race registration times, start times, on course facilities, and rules on spectating may vary, please check your race emails after entering the race.
Toilets:
A toilet block with Male & Female toilets is at the top of the car park as well as another toilet block in the smaller car park at the other side of the bridge.
Spectators:
Spectators can spend the day here in the beautiful riverside setting with catering onsite or take your own picnic. Other good viewing points are Appletreewick where the runners will pass by the two village pubs. Hebden is also accessible by car or walkers along the Dales Way footpath.
Prize Giving:
Prize giving will commence when all prize category winners have finished.
